Control License Expiration Before it Expires

You can now take control over license expiration long before it expires.

New WMQ PlugIn version 6.6.2 provides you with the new set of Workgroup Server license facts which you can now monitor and send yourself alerts before license expiration date. Great way of making sure you get your new license in advance. All it takes is to do the following:

1. Apply WMQ Plugin v6.6.2 and you will find the license facts under WS_Monitor, License.

2. Deploy License business view. Click to download the license policy from our resource center(Link to be provided).
Normally you don't have to download this license policy, as it is part of a wmq resource pack version 6.6.2. However, resource pack should only be applied one time, because if you apply it more than ones, it will make changes to your current policies. Therefore, we have made this license policy available on our resource center.

Once downloaded, copy the license policy to the location where you have all your business view files and deploy it as policy using a business explorer in the Enterprise manager. Open the properties of the license policy. Click on Alert tab and configure the user and mail server. Also, Scheme by default is set to none; you need to select at least Once or Repeat for the policy to actually start sending alerts. If you click on Environment tab it has a variable with number of days to send the alert before license expiration. You can modify this number to meet your needs.

3. Also, just as a reminder, out of the box with every APM6 installation there is an AutoPilotM6 license policy that you can find in the Enterprise manager. Navigate to Domain Server\Domain Server Manager\Policies. (See image below). This policy should be used as well to monitor Domain Server license expiration. To get alerts, please make sure to edit and enable alerting on this policy as well.
